Symptom
Internet recovery fails to load installer with a “could not connect to the server error”
Fault Confirmation
Opening installer log shows could not connect error at the top of the log, when opening before initiating install.
Corrective Action
Using link in installer log, run the following command in terminal; nvram IASUCatalogURL=”<copied link from installer log>”
Restart installer and carry out standard recovery.
Tested on iMac 2010 following retrofit of an i7 870 and 512Gb SSD in preparation for Opencore patching.
