Symptom
Console would boot, however disc drive wasn’t working. Customer states hitting the top of the console used to release the drive.
Fault Confirmation
Replaced main disc drive board as drive was not responding. Drive now reads and plays disc. Drive would not eject on empty tray.
Corrective Action
Belt replacement carried out. Drive now functions as expected. Customer recommended to exercise drive weekly to ensure belt maintains shape.
